Notes: This forest was planted over 300 years ago on top of a wandering sand dune stemming from the last ice age, to prevent sand storms originating from this dune back then. Sorta awesome, isn't it?

more than sorta! lol i really love those thin pine trees, or whatever they're called. damn, considering 300 years, this forest is well-kept and looks almost new?? @_@; then again, i don't know how to judge a forest by its age... wtf am i talking about. ^^
