wow..... is all i can say. haha, is this used for tours? or is it... gulp, a hotel for yuppy tourists? O_O;;;;;;;;; this structure blows me away. lol it's so pretty. is it fairly modern or just well-kept?
It's fairly modern... err, for castle terms. 18th century.
originally it was planned far bigger, this is just the middle wing of three planned buildings.
oh, and it's noticable in the building materials that it was "built cheap" - the surface isn't red sandstone (which was used in "proper" - pricey - castles), but wood and metal coloured to look like it.
It holds a collection of antiques, but is also used for other stuff occasionally.
lol 18th century. that would be considered bigtime here, as we have no history. of course. XD lol red sandstone -- didn't heidelberg have a lot of red sandstone? it looks really posh to me, even with the cheaper build. ^^;; haha.

nope, it's just a collection. the state bought the castle for a pittance three years ago - something like 15 million dollar.
